Volunteer Policy

 

The Riverbend Basketball program relies heavily on volunteers from the community in order to deliver all aspects of the program to the hundreds of youth in our community that participate each year.  In order to ensure that we honour our volunteer requirements to the EYBA and to ensure the program continues to operate, a Volunteer Deposit policy is in place that will require a separate volunteer deposit cheque that will either be destroyed or cashed, subject to fulfillment of your volunteer commitment as discussed below.

****** IMPORTANT NOTE ******

If you have not filled a volunteer position as identified on the volunteer sheet, your name will be kept on file.  If additional volunteer requirements arise individuals on file who have not volunteered will be entered in a draw, and the necessary number of individuals will be randomly selected.  If your name is selected, you will be contacted by Riverbend Basketball program.  We will attempt to contact you twice by phone and/or email.  If we are not able to make contact with you after two attempts, or if you decline your commitment, you will forfeit your deposit cheque.

 

There are a number of opportunities available to get involved in assisting with the volunteer requirements of the program including Coaching, League management/administration and Casino.

Coaching

League Management/Administration

Data Entry (3 spots) – VACANT

Practice Gym Coordinator – FILLLED

Team Photo Coordinators (2 spots) – VACANT

Spring League Team Coordinators (1 or 2 spots) – VACANT

Mighty Mite Coordinators (1 per session) – VACANT- should have a child in the program

EYBA Fair Play Form Coordinators (1 to 2 spots) – VACANT

Riverbend Basketball Ragg-Times Journalist (1 or 2 spots) - VACANT

 

Please note that positions related to assisting with individual team management, scorekeeping and timing do not count towards the above required volunteer policy.
